Full closure of J10 exit slip Southbound Diversion to J10a and back
Monday 30 September to Friday 4 October – 21:00 to 05:00
Full carriageway closure from J10 to J8 plus slips J10 and J9 Northbound.
1st Diversion for M25 via Copthorne Road, A22 and rejoin at J6 M25
2nd Diversion for Gatwick A2011 Crawley Avenue, A23 London Road, Airport Way.
In preparing for the switch from the verges into the central reservation, there may be some noisy activities to break the concrete. We apologise for any disruption caused and will use all noise mitigation possible to stop this. Gatwick contractors have works starting this week at the South terminal roundabout to refurbish the arch into the airport. There will be lane closures, which may lead to delays exiting. These works will continue for 3 weeks.
In the event of poor weather conditions or other issues out of our control, planned work may be postponed at short notice. Contingency bookings are also in place, but these are only used if previously planned work is delayed and there is no clash with other closures. If work completes on an earlier day the motorway may not close, or if work completes ahead of schedule the motorway may reopen early. Signage will be in place on the network to notify of closures and diversions.
